We built a new website… in Bali!

We were very busy with Roasted Beans during our workation. For those who aren’t up-to-date yet: Roasted Beans is kaffie’s first product pitched and perfected by our Chief Problem Solvers. A quick visit to roasted.kaffie.co could clear things up if you’re still in the dark.

Our first week consisted of plenty conversations, countless cups of coffee, restless nights and frustrating back-and-forths. Final decisions were brought into question, turning into final final decisions, technical issues decided to play up just thirty minutes before launch and the word “roast” had become such an enigmatic concept after seeing it so much.

Being together 24/7 didn’t help. Conversations seemed to circle back to work more than often, putting us inside a bubble of beans and coffee. What did help, was the fact that we were staying in the Casablanca Suite. Aside from the stunning interior and the swimming pool, it was also spacious enough so that we could escape (read: hide) from each other when needed.

We eventually managed to bring our project to a satisfying end despite the tumultuous journey. One would think that after wrapping up The Bali Project, surely we’d take some time off and enjoy the Balinese experience, right?

Sigh.

Wrong.

Right after finishing such a whopper of a project, we dove head-first into the next: our new website! This meant more than just polishing up our old site and fixing some bugs here and there; we planned on giving kaffie.co an entirely new jacket. Dynamic, direct, more kaffie, and of course lookin’ good!

More than the plentiful conversations and numerous coffee orders, this also meant 4PM massage appointments and getting right back to work until the late hours afterwards. It meant going mad (no exaggeration) in the Mad House, squealing and singing when it was bedtime for most. It also mostly meant boiling frustration as only one single person could access Webflow at a time—making the progress much slower than could’ve been.

Just like with Roasted Beans, we did successfully launch the website at the time we aimed for. The work, however, is not done yet. There are still pages to be made, copy to be rewritten and visuals to be added. Now this is where you come in: we would love your feedback.

When you visit kaffie.co now, you will see our labour of love. Let us know what you think; the good, the bad and the ugly!
